We recorded this acoustic live version of “Never leave the shipyard” at my family cabin. My dear friend and a fantastic musician, Janne Malinen wrote the acoustic guitar arrangement of the song. I think he captured the heavy essence of the song, which is very sad, still and rather powerless. It’s a cry for something that seems to have run its course.
Sometimes you have to go all in on an emotion, even if it is painful. I hope that this song could be your companion in a cathartic experience – to let go of any excess weight you might be carrying. Life is equally about cutting dead parts off, as it is about building and nourishing meaningful and living things.
