Scooter – Devil’s Symphony (Review)

October 11, 2019 by Joona Nuutinen

Scooter is the ultimate pop music culture recycling machine. Pop music has always been about recycling, remixing and reshaping melodies and compositions that are already popular. Scooter takes this approach to the kind of heights that only a few artists can even imagine. They’re here to make you dance and forget about your gray office … Read more

Scooter – God Save the Rave Review

June 4, 2019 by Joona Nuutinen

God Save the Rave is Sebastian Schilde’s second production with Scooter, and he doesn’t disappoint. The name of the song implies a classic rave sound, and that’s what we get. Of course this sounds more like the 2010’s than the 1990’s, and as there aren’t many other artists doing this kind of music these days, … Read more

Scooter – Rave Teacher (Somebody Like Me) review

April 5, 2019 by Joona Nuutinen

Yes, I admit it, I like Scooter. It may not be apparent, judging by the music that I write. I don’t like all Scooter songs, in fact I created a Spotify playlist called “Scooter songs that are actually good“. Most of their songs are made for the dance floor stompers, and not for the analytical … Read more

Music attaches to a memory

March 2, 2018 by Joona Nuutinen

Listening to the Pet Shop Boys’ album, Super, I always go back to my trip in Tallinn in 2016. The album was new, and I listened to it a lot while exploring Tallinn. Now every time I listen to Super, I always think about the tram rides, the massive national library, the old buildings at … Read more

"Consumed" out today on all leading evil corporati "Consumed" out today on all leading evil corporation streaming services! Skynet needs you to stream the song, in order to become self-aware.

"Consumed" is a story about the chaotic emotional fallout of a collapsing relationship, where every truth is questioned and stability is lost. It's the painful realization how honesty and vulnerability can reveal the hollow nature of a relationship. It is a ruthless, painful and necessary act of going through an emotional conflict with determination to find clarity and peace.

The video shoot for "Money grinder" five years ago The video shoot for "Money grinder" five years ago was a spectacular project. Lots of old tech got destroyed in the process. I grew a beard for over a month, just to get the look right. The character in the music video is not too far detached from the realities of pursuing a career in music. This is one of the less serious songs and videos we've made, and while the next album is a very serious one, I still enjoy the occasional fun song here and there. -Joona
