Unzyme’s first four albums have been released on YouTube. Dive into the biomechanical pop well! Forensics Transplant Override Brainforest
We’re happy to announce two biomechanical pop shows at Jyväskylä Pride 2022. The first show will take place in Lounaispuisto, after the Pride March. The second and much longer show will be played at night at Aalto-Sali (entrance through Freetime). This is certainly not the first or last time we’ll be performing at Jyväskylä Pride.
Unzyme’s summer pop song from the upcoming album, Interference, is now available on all streaming services. Listening to the song is strongly recommended. It has several health benefits, like liberating from all kinds of rotten beliefs.
Another music video collaboration between the magnificent Sebastian Trzaska and Unzyme – Escaping the mirror. It’s a departure from what we’ve done before, but a lot of work was poured into this new kind of video concept as well. The song is about needing to change internally, and hooking up with someone who is a … Read more
A heat-inducing dance pop song is about to drop on August 19th, 2022. Sebastian Trzaska directed a music video for the song. The video will be released on YouTube before other music streaming services. The song is from the upcoming album, Interference.
‘About to explode’ is the final song from Forensics to receive a lyric video. Shot and edited by Joona Nuutinen. Still frames from the lyric video, without the lyrics.
Dalziel’s remix of Crazy talk will be released on June 10th!
‘Never leave the shipyard’ is Unzyme’s most acoustic, and one of the saddest songs in the catalogue. Joona made a lyric video out of video clips from his adventures during the covid years. Stills from the video.
2021 was not an easy year. It was a year of necessary endings and brave new beginnings. We had to say farewell to Unzyme’s long-time drummer, the magnificent beatmaster, lord of the nanoworld, Ville Hoikkala, because he wanted to fully commit to his academic career. The decision was not made lightly, but once it was … Read more
Unzyme’s original drummer, Ville Hoikkala, has stepped away from his beat-handling duties to be able to fully concentrate on his academic career. This is mostly due to both parties wanting to accelerate, but to opposite directions. Unzyme’s demands have been growing a lot lately, and this felt like the right time to face reality and … Read more
A new lyric video has been released for Supreme abilities. The footage in the video was shot by Joona while visiting more or less abandoned places somewhere in Finland. Two more songs from Forensics will get lyric videos, after which we move on to unreleased songs.
We’ve been working hard on the next Unzyme album. The work was started well before our previous album, Forensics, was released. This new chapter will deal with big themes like identity, courage, addiction, depression, friendship and transformation. There will be at least one scifi song, as is customary (we’re secretly building a scifi album on … Read more
Unzyme will play a very special show at Jyväskylä Pride 2021, which takes place in the legendary Lounaispuisto. The event starts at 14:00 and ends at 18:00. We don’t know the exact showtime yet, but our show will likely be the last. Unzyme producers Lasse and Henna will also bring their spectacular Pihka Is My … Read more
A few years ago, Joona set out to write an album that would study life choices, and how they may be hard to rationalize. ‘Forensics’ is a compilation of stories about digging into your own past, trying to understand what really happened and why. Sometimes there are clues that were left unnoticed at the time. … Read more
Unzyme will play their latest album, Forensics, in its entirety, just one day after its release. Join us on May 8th, 8PM EET on YouTube.
Directed, shot and edited by Sebastian Trzaska, the Shield music video is most probably our best music video so far. The fantastic industrial premises of Outokumpu Old Mine served the story well. Shield is also available on Spotify, but it should definitely be enjoyed with the video.
Recorded at the Unzyme Proving Ground, a new live version of Money grinder was released a few days ago on YouTube. If James Frank would be around, he would definitely enjoy this with a cup of coffee.
Inspired by the latest live stream a few weeks ago, we’ll do another one on March 27th! YouTube is our main platform, but feel free to watch the stream on Sessions Live, Twitch or Facebook. Send your song requests to us!
Forensics will be the successor to 2017’s extremely poppy album Transplant. We got tired of waiting for a better time, so the release date was set to May 7th, 2021. We’re already busy writing, recording and producing the fifth album, so we gotta get this one out of the oven. One more single, Shield, will … Read more
We haven’t had the time to properly recover from the release of Money grinder, but the next video is already underway. “Shield” will be released on March 26th.
