Deep in my dome (lyric video) released

I wrote this song to a friend who struggles with depression. He sees a lot of things happening around him, but stays still, protecting himself from any outside influence. It’s rather easy to become a spectator in your own life, lacking the will or means to build anything, or to even feel anything. This song is a cry for help and understanding, to get back to life before it’s too late.

Lyrics

Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up

To the clouds, planes keep taking off
I stand and stare until their trails dissolve
Through my doubts, I see what’s going on
my tangled affairs scream to get solved

Caught in a shelter, deep in my dome
Why do I call this prison my home?
I’m too weak to get up alone
Hey do you know, hey do you know
why falling feels better than rising up?
Why falling feels better than soaring to the sky?

On a day when riddles make more sense
I stay at home to fold lean paper planes
Ordinary life is half pretense
and all I want is to get out of my lane

Caught in a shelter, deep in my dome
Why do I call this prison my home?
I’m too weak to get up alone
Hey do you know, hey do you know
why falling feels better than rising up?
Why falling feels better than soaring to the sky?

Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up

Caught in a shelter, deep in my dome
Why do I call this prison my home?
I’m too weak to get up alone
Hey do you know, hey do you know why
falling feels better than rising up?
Why falling feels better than soaring up, hey

Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up the signs
Light up
