Another music video collaboration between the magnificent Sebastian Trzaska and Unzyme – Escaping the mirror. It’s a departure from what we’ve done before, but a lot of work was poured into this new kind of video concept as well. The song is about needing to change internally, and hooking up with someone who is a … Read more
A heat-inducing dance pop song is about to drop on August 19th, 2022. Sebastian Trzaska directed a music video for the song. The video will be released on YouTube before other music streaming services. The song is from the upcoming album, Interference.
‘About to explode’ is the final song from Forensics to receive a lyric video. Shot and edited by Joona Nuutinen. Still frames from the lyric video, without the lyrics.
‘Never leave the shipyard’ is Unzyme’s most acoustic, and one of the saddest songs in the catalogue. Joona made a lyric video out of video clips from his adventures during the covid years. Stills from the video.
A new lyric video has been released for Supreme abilities. The footage in the video was shot by Joona while visiting more or less abandoned places somewhere in Finland. Two more songs from Forensics will get lyric videos, after which we move on to unreleased songs.
We aren’t exactly known for doing cover songs. This is the first cover song to be released, after three albums of original material. It was surprisingly fun to work on this song, since it has quickly become a modern classic. There’s something very charming about this song. The Hoff has always stood for believing in … Read more
Recorded at the Unzyme Proving Ground in late 2020.
The final video to be featured from Transplant! Now the chapter is closed, and we can move on to the next one. This is one of the coolest songs to play live. Such energy is hard to pack into one song, and we always seem to need more of these fast stompin’ songs in the … Read more
Misconstructed is one of the less performed tracks from Transplant, along with Incision. Misconstructed is a tough track to play live, because it’s so frantic and misconstrued, like its title. But it was lots of fun to compose. There is a healthy dose of The Prodigy in this track – Keith Flint would’ve had his … Read more
Lie down in debris is so much fun to play live. I’ve always felt that we play rock music, even though the instrumentation and stylistic choices are very much electronic. There’s a good amount of Nirvana in the on/off nature of this song. I was also channeling Pendulum, when writing the song. Lie down in … Read more
We did a bunch of live songs at the Unzyme Proving Ground. After recording the other songs that we had originally planned to record, we had time for one more. This was shot in one take. The Completionist is definitely one of our favorite songs to play live, as it is very energetic and playful.
“Until the guilt is forgiven” was recorded at Unzyme’s band rehearsal at the Unzyme Proving Ground in August 2020. Tech-wise our rehearsals don’t really differ from a proper show, so it’s good to record the state of the band on video, from time to time. This song was released in 2017 on our third album, … Read more
Unzyme’s keyboardist, Daniel Lawrence arranged a new song of ours in a rather grandiose way. We’ve always liked strings, but lately that love has actualized in many string-heavy songs, including “Never leave the shipyard”, “Harder to breathe”, “Tension”, “About to explode” and “Dust on the shelves” – all from the upcoming album.
Ville is now busier than ever, finishing his thesis on CRISPR, so we can’t perform or rehearse like we normally do. This led us to think about alternative ways of working, one of which is to write new arrangements for old songs. We did a couple of new arrangements – an acoustic guitar arrangement of … Read more
Our latest music video can now be called award-winning. It won the Wavvy Music Accolades’ Best Music Video award. Whoo! “This sci-fi flick was shot in a real particle accelerator lab, making this video objectively one of the coolest of all time. Where my geeks at? With Neuralink being developed by Elon Musk, the idea … Read more

The coronavirus outbreak has crippled the whole live music industry. One of the many victims is Brummi, a live venue in Rauma (Finland), which is run by a friend of ours. We’d like to offer our help by streaming a live show from the Unzyme Proving Ground, with all donations going straight to Brummi. The … Read more
Unzyme opened for Happoradio at Tavastia in Helsinki (Finland) on August 24th, 2019. Here’s a live video that will help you understand the intricate paradoxes of the universe, while experiencing an unfiltered aural energy flare. If you were to become a cyborg, you could experience videos in pure data streams, instead of having to interpret … Read more

The biggest reason for me to vlog is to make my endeavours, skills, vision and style visible, so that the people who are interested in listening to Unzyme’s music or doing any kind of business with us, know who they’re dealing with. And in the process, hopefully convince some new people that it’s worth their … Read more
